Well I know it's been a while since my last post, but I have a good reason! My laptop charger suddenly went out and my battery is crap anyway, so I've been limited in my internet access. For now I have to deal with my super slow old dinosaur desktop, but I'm dealing. First, some random news. I recently purchased a couple of plastic craft cases. I wanted them to house my various colors of clay. I soon ran into a few problems. First I know that polymer clay tends to bond with all but certain kinds of plastic. Well, I stayed up all night making the cutest little turtle earrings for the flea market today. A lot of people expressed an interest in them, but none of them actually bought any. I did hand out a few cards though, with one promise of getting in touch, although that was with the other side of my work, my "survival" gear side (I make para cord bracelets and survival kits). It was a rather disappointing day, but next week I plan to have a MUCH bigger selection for people to choose from, and bigger signs. I recently picked up polymer clay sculpting. I absolutely love it!! I love being able to just pick up a block of clay and turn it into whatever I like. Details are fun too, but as of right now I have limited tools (fingers and toothpicks :-/ ) But I have ordered sculpting tools and I'm hoping that improves my detail/smoothing work tenfold ^_^ I've also ordered another batch of clay and as soon as I'm done with all this commission work from friends and family I intend to start making original pieces to sell and enjoy.
